Induction Process What to expect in your first few weeks
We’ve received your signed contract and are ready to welcome you to the team. What can you expect from us?
We understand that the first few weeks at a new company can be daunting, so we want to make the process as smooth as possible and provide you with an interesting and useful induction. All of our new recruits have been incredibly positive about their induction experience and feel it was such an important and valued aspect of their onboarding experience.
You will be provided with your induction plan a minimum of one week prior to your start date. We have pre-set dates for our induction timetable, and this will have been discussed with you when arranging the best date to commence employment.

The induction plan will cover the first couple of weeks, and every recruit goes through the same experience, ensuring a consistent start and providing you with a good level of information and the ability to meet lots of people. In the weeks leading up to your first day with us, your new manager will keep in touch with you.
Following this, your onboarding experience will be tailored to your position in the business and team requirements.
What do you need from me?
We will ask you to tell us about yourself on your starter form, - think about where you have worked previously, your hobbies etc. In advance of your start date, we will send a notification to the business advising them of your start and introducing you to the team.
What can I expect from my induction plan?
Your first day will include a tour of the office and introduction to the teams. You will definitely feel the Geberit team spirit during this process, and everyone you meet will want to help you and happily talk to you!
You will spend time with HR where you will learn lots about the history of Geberit, our MERIT values, useful processes, and our benefits. You will also see Facilities, IT, and Payroll to ensure you are set up with all the equipment that you need and that you are aware of the health and safety procedures.
Don’t forget to bring your right to work documents with you as we will need to see physical copies of these on your first day. You won’t need to bring in lunch for the first day, that’s on us!
The second half of the induction will only run once a month and will be on the 4th Tuesday and Wednesday of every month. During these days you will meet our Managing Director, Executive Team, Finance, Strategic Accounts, Customer Support, Technical, Estimating/Project Tracking, Marketing, and Product Management teams. You will also have an overview of our products. Your manager may also add some extras into your induction plan if there is something they feel may be useful for you in your first few weeks.
Feedback
Your feedback is important to us. We will send you some onboarding questionnaires to reflect on the induction process in your 1st, 3rd and 6th month of employment at Geberit. It would be great if you could give us some feedback so we can consider our areas of success and how to improve going forward. We will also arrange to meet you after your first six months with us to discuss in detail how you have settled in, plus any feedback you may have for us. Throughout your first 6 months you will also have regular one-to-one meetings with your manager where you can provide feedback.
